A man had a dream
for all people
to come together as one.
He fought for
equal rights for his people.
He fought for
the right to acknowledgment,
to exist,
the right to education,
and the right to the American dream.
He pursued his dream until he died.
Now his legacy lives on.
Much reverence is given
to a man with a dream.
Those before and those after him
can rejoice
for a sign of progress
and confidence in
knowing that
if you dare to dream,
pursue the dream,
you can live the dream.
