Poem: Bad Credit

Credit card offers

to the young

and unsuspecting.

People with

limited resources

take advantage of

the plastic disaster.

When it’s

time to pay,

they realize

there’s no way.

When they were

without credit,

they were told

they needed credit.

Seven to ten years

in their credit profile.

Sinking

in a sea of debt.

What are

they to do?

Some resort to

bankruptcy.

Others to

debt consolidation.

Regardless of what

they do.

It’s

a growing problem

in our society

which needs

to be addressed

with

appropriate education

and awareness

in the potential pitfalls

of credit card use.
